Stake conferences are sacred gatherings where members come together to receive instruction, strengthen testimonies of Jesus Christ, and conduct essential stake business. As taught in Doctrine and Covenants 43:8, the Lord commands His people to assemble to be instructed and edified, that they may know how to act and direct His Church.
Each stake typically holds two conferences per year, scheduled under the direction of the President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. These conferences provide an opportunity to be uplifted, unified, and inspired in our discipleship, while receiving counsel from local and general Church leaders.
Preparation:
“Have ye inquired of the Lord?” -1 Nephi 15:8
“For everyone that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and unto him that knocketh, it shall be opened.” (JST Matthew 7:13)
